Volunteer’s Rake Up Colorado!

November 08, 2008 By: Snapbagger Category: Charitable Works

“Rake Up Colorado” was sponsored by Volunteers of America/Safety of Seniors Handyman Program and was a day devoted to helping Seniors in our community by doing their Fall Leaf cleanup.  This service served close to 300 senior citizens with close to 450 volunteers!

She-Edison, LLC donated 6 SnapBaggers for this event and it was enough to supply 2 teams with equipment to bag the leaves for either disposal or transport to compost.  Whereas rakes were abundant, most teams had to rely on the slow and cumbersome “two-person method” for bagging the leaves, where one person holds the bag open while the other person tries to load the bag.   The two teams that were provided SnapBaggers finished in half the time!

She-Edison, LLC will make this an annual donation and hopefully next year will be able to provide every team with SnapBaggers.
