On Saturday May 23rd the SnapBagger was featured on HouseSmarts TV.   “House Smarts TV”, is a 30-minute weekly syndicated magazine format home improvement and lifestyle program.  It airs around 60% of the US on broadcast networks.  This was excellent PR and we were honored to be part of Lou Manfredini’s show!  The SnapBagger will be on their website all week, so check it out at http://www.housesmartstv.com/#/Cool_Tools/ to see a clip of the airing.

We had a great time at the National Hardware Show in Vegas this year!  Last year we unveiled the SnapBagger in the Inventors Spotlight area of the National Hardware Show.  This year, we graduated to a “real” 10×10 booth at the show.  It is amazing to think how far we have come with this new product in just 1 short year of introducing it, and not working on it as a full-time gig.  In light of all the attention the economy has received, we were not certain how good the show would be, but we were very pleasantly surprised to have had such a great show.   The highlights of the show for us were signing up many more retail stores, catalog companies, and Reps that would like to carry the SnapBagger.  Our TV exposure will also increase this year with the likely addition of The Shopping Channel (Canada’s Version of HSN), as well as numerous companies that expressed interest in creating a Direct Response ad campaign for SnapBagger.  We enjoyed meeting new people and re-connecting with many people we met last year.

Television pitchmen legends Billy Mays and Anthony “Sully” Sullivan are teaming with the Discovery Channel to create a new reality show that is scheduled to air this Spring 2009.  The new reality show is about the inventors that come up with new product ideas, and the people that “pitch” and sell these products on TV for them.  For more information on this new show, check out this link:

I was among many other inventors invited in for an audition.  I enjoyed pitching my invention to Billy and Sully and getting their feedback on my product’s TV sellability.  Sully commented that the fact that I am already selling it on the Home Shopping Network puts me far beyond 99.9% of inventors.  After the pitch, I was able to get a picture with Billy and Sully!  What a fun adventure this was!!

We had a lot of fun and met a lot of exciting fellow inventors and creative types at the Inventors Showcase in Denver!  This is an annual event that is put on by the Davinci Institute and we really enjoyed being a part of the showcase.  It was a simple 1 day event and you can find more information at www.davinciinstitute.com.  Channel 9 News covered the event and below is a picture with Gregg Moss with Channel 9.  Gregg does a weekly early morning “Gadgets” segment in which the SnapBagger had a couple of appearances:
